Small Aircraft Crashes into Minnesota Home, Causing Fire

A Minnesota home was engulfed in flames after a small aircraft crashed into it on Saturday. The incident occurred in a residential area of Brooklyn Park, near Minneapolis, prompting emergency responders to advise residents to stay back as thick black smoke filled the sky.
Brooklyn Park Fire Chief Shawn Conway confirmed that there were no survivors on the plane, but all residents inside the home escaped without injury. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that the aircraft involved was a SOCATA TBM7, which crashed just before 12:30 p.m. local time. Authorities have not yet determined how many individuals were on board.

According to officials, the plane had departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was en route to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis at the time of the crash. First responders worked swiftly to secure the area and evacuate nearby residents as a precautionary measure.
Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz stated that his team was in close contact with local officials and was monitoring the situation. He expressed gratitude to the first responders for their quick actions.

The incident follows another aviation-related event on Friday, in which a Minneapolis-bound Delta flight had a near miss with an Air Force jet while departing from Reagan International Airport in Washington, D.C. No injuries were reported among the 131 passengers on board the commercial flight.
