Sophia Bush says she’s queer and in relationship with Ashlyn Harris, retired USWNT star

Sophia Bush (left) has come out as queer and in a relationship with retired soccer player Ashlyn Harris.

Actress Sophia Bush has revealed that she is queer, coming out a year after announcing the end of her short-lived marriage.

The 41-year-old star of “One Tree Hill” discussed her love life in a personal feature-length magazine article.

In Glamour, she talked about getting cold feet before marrying entrepreneur Grant Hughes in July 2022. She wrote, “In April of 2022 I was close to calling off my wedding. Instead of running away, I doubled down on being a model wife.”

She admitted that they “threw one of the greatest wedding weekends ever,” but went on to talk about the tough year that followed.

Bush said she kept telling herself that “relationships are hard” and “marriage takes compromise,” but ultimately, it was the “heartbreak of the fertility process” that made her rethink her relationship.

She wrote, “As I lost track of how many examination tables I had lain on alone, I felt something in me seismically shift. Six months into that journey, I think I knew deep down that I absolutely had made a mistake.”

This realization led her to take some time out by accepting a theatrical role in London’s West End, though she later had to drop out due to illness.
