Supermodel Eunice Olumide Secretly Remarries and Awaits Baby with IT Specialist Dario Richards
Supermodel Eunice Olumide, 36, has revealed her recent hush-hush wedding and imminent arrival of her first child with new husband, Dario Richards. The Edinburgh-born model, who previously married Commonwealth Games champion Steve Frew, amicably parted ways and has now found love again.
Eunice’s whirlwind romance with American IT guru Dario Richards began in October 2022 on her birthday in Jamaica. Just eight months later, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony last June, with no family present and the event kept secret from even their closest relatives.
A prominent figure in the fashion world since the age of 15, Eunice has graced the pages of Vogue and walked for top fashion houses including Prada, Vivienne Westwood, and Alexander McQueen. Now, she is preparing for a new chapter as she balances impending motherhood with her modeling career.
Eunice shared, "Dario is a systems manager in IT." Reflecting on their swift engagement, she said, "We got married within eight months of meeting each other and I think that is enough time to know. Sometimes it’s actually better if you don’t wait a long time to get married."
Their wedding was a minimalist affair: "It was literally just us and our witnesses. We decided to keep it totally quiet to give ourselves as much chance to be successful as possible without any pressure."
Comparing the secrecy of their marriage to her pregnancy, Eunice added, "It's kind of like being pregnant. I just didn’t tell anyone. If you bumped into me you’d notice I was pregnant, but I just announced my pregnancy publicly in the last 10 days."
Reflecting on her previous marriage, Eunice said, "We were best friends when we got married and we still are best friends. Sometimes it’s difficult to know if that’s the right one if you’re best friends. But I think it’s better to try and find out it doesn’t work than to miss out on what could have been the best relationship of my life."
Eunice plans to give birth at home without NHS support, opting for a traditional method known as freebirthing, which bypasses medical professionals or drugs. She also shared their baby name plans, saying, "If it’s a girl, we are probably going to give the baby my name, just because that’s my mum’s mum’s name. If it’s a boy, it will be named after my new husband."
As she steps into this new phase, Eunice remains a prominent figure in the fashion industry, continuing to grace the covers of notable fashion magazines worldwide.
