Teenager Gang Raped by 23 Men in Northern India Who Laced Her Noodles with Drugs

A 19-year-old girl in Varanasi, northern India, was subjected to a horrifying week-long series of sexual assaults after allegedly being abducted on March 29 while returning home from a friend’s house. The teenager reported that she was forcibly taken by a man to a nearby café in another town, approximately three miles away, where the first assault took place. The teenager was brutally gang-raped by 23 men who drugged her with tainted noodles according to Indian Police.

She was then taken by two more men to a highway, where she was sexually assaulted again before being dropped off in Nadesar. There, she was forced to accompany five men to a second café, where she was reportedly drugged and gang-raped.

The victim said she was later taken to a hotel, where she was made to massage another man who subsequently raped her. As she attempted to escape, she was captured by another individual and taken to a second hotel, where she endured yet another sexual assault.

Her ordeal continued as she was transported to a warehouse nearly two hours from her home. There, she was reportedly assaulted by three more men.

After this, she managed to reach a shopping centre close to her hometown. Exhausted and hungry, she accepted food offered by two strangers, who allegedly drugged her through the meal and abducted her again. She reported that she was taken to another location and raped before being handed over to another group of men.

She was then allegedly assaulted by five more individuals in a separate hotel before finally managing to escape and return home. On April 4, she filed a formal complaint with local police.

Authorities have confirmed that six suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with the attacks. Investigations are ongoing as law enforcement officials continue to search the various sites connected to the case.
