Tennis star secretly QUITS the sport aged 32 'to pursue a career as a lingerie model' with the WTA 'unable to get hold of her'... nearly two months after playing her last match
Female tennis star Camila Giorgi has quietly retired from tennis at 32, reportedly shifting her focus to a career as a lingerie model. Giorgi, known for her powerful game, has won four WTA titles and reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 2018, peaking at world No. 26 the same year.
Off the court, Giorgi has been active as a model and social media influencer, boasting over 730,000 Instagram followers. She often shares bold photos showcasing her fashion brand, Giomila, specializing in lingerie and sportswear.
Although Giorgi has not officially announced her retirement, she hasn't played since March and has reportedly withdrawn from tennis' anti-doping program. In 2022, she faced allegations of using a fake Covid vaccination certificate for the Australian Open, which she and her father vehemently denied.
Giorgi's career wasn't without controversy, including a notable incident where she claimed not to follow tennis before facing Serena Williams at Wimbledon in 2018.
Her father's frustration with media scrutiny during that time was evident.
