Texas Car Wash Shooting Kills 5-Year-Old Girl and Rapper G$ Lil Ronnie

A shooting at a northern Texas car wash on Monday claimed the lives of a 5-year-old girl and 30-year-old rapper G$ Lil Ronnie.
Police said two suspects opened fire on the victims shortly before 11 a.m. in Forest Hill, a suburb about 30 miles west of Dallas. Despite officers' attempts at life-saving measures, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects fled in a white four-door Kia after approaching the victim's vehicle. Authorities have issued an active capital murder warrant for their arrests, though their names have not yet been released.
A witness at the scene reported hearing 20 to 30 gunshots, according to local station KTVT.

This incident marks the fourth and fifth homicides in Forest Hill this year, compared to none in 2024, police said.
Friends and family identified the male victim as rapper Ronnie "LilRonnie" Smith, also known as G$ Lil Ronnie. His aunt, Stella Houston, said he had no known enemies.
"He was a good kid. He didn’t bother nobody," Houston told WFAA.

Smith had approximately 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with his most-streamed track being "Hoodfame Killuminati," from a 2018 collaboration with rapper Go Yayo.
Go Yayo, whose real name is Kyrin Xavier Peters, shared a tribute on his Instagram story Monday, posting a photo of the two with the caption, "Life or death 4 u big brudda."
