Texas Middle School Student Throws Teacher Against a Wall While Fighting Peer (video)

A Texas middle school student violently threw a teacher against the wall as he attacked a peer in front of the distraught students on Monday

A Texas middle school student violently threw a teacher against the wall while attacking a peer in front of distraught classmates on Monday. The incident took place at Hurshel Antwine Middle School in El Paso.

The altercation began when one student started punching a classmate. The teacher intervened, attempting to separate the students, but was grabbed and thrown aside by the aggressor. Despite being knocked down, the teacher quickly got back on her feet and prevented another student from joining the fight.

One student hurled a couple of punches at his classmate and grabbed the teacher, who inserted herself in between the students before he threw her aside and unleashed several more punches.

Patricia Fernandez, the principal of Hurshel Antwine Middle School, addressed the incident in a message to parents, stating: “This was an isolated incident between individual students. The students involved are being addressed by administration and law enforcement, as appropriate. There was no threat to other students or the campus.”

The students involved are being addressed by administration and law enforcement, as appropriate, the school announced.

This incident follows a similar occurrence last month in North Carolina, where a high school student at Parkland High School in Winston-Salem slapped his teacher twice during a profanity-filled tantrum. The student was charged with communicating threats and misdemeanor assault.
