Texas principal writes letter disowning teacher hubby after he’s busted on child porn charges

James Stone, a teacher at Tompkins High School in Katy, Texas, was apprehended on Monday for possessing thousands of images depicting minors, some of which were allegedly taken on school premises.


His wife, Melinda, who is the principal of Taylor High School, has now written an email to the community following her husband's arrest.

In an email directed to staff, Melinda acknowledged her awareness of her husband’s charges and emphasized her family’s disappointment in his conduct. She assured that neither she nor any family member was implicated in his criminal activities.

The arrest and charges against James Stone have prompted reactions from students, with one expressing discomfort over previous interactions with him and others acknowledging the seriousness of the situation.
