“This Injustice Will Not Be Sustained” – Natasha Rejects Senate Suspension [VIDEO]

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has rejected her six-month suspension imposed by the Senate.
Describing the decision as unjust, she expressed her determination to challenge the suspension, declaring, “This injustice will not be sustained,” before being escorted out of the Senate chamber.
The suspension follows Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s public allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, claiming that he was retaliating against her for rejecting his alleged sexual advances. This came after a dispute between Akpoti-Uduaghan and the Senate leadership regarding seating arrangements.
Following the accusations, the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions reviewed the matter and recommended her suspension. The full Senate upheld the committee’s decision on Thursday.
As part of the suspension, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan will not receive her salary, and her official security details will be withdrawn for the duration of the period.
