Tiger Woods and Ex-Wife Elin Nordegren Celebrate as 15-Year-Old Son, Charlie, Receives Golf Championship Ring
Tiger Woods watched with pride as his son Charlie received his state championship golf ring, accompanied by his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, during a ceremony in North Palm Beach, Florida.
Photos from the event show Woods, 48, and Nordegren, 44, embracing Charlie and beaming with joy as The Benjamin School team displayed their new Class 1A golf title ring. This victory marks the fourth state title for Charlie's school, which they clinched in November.
Charlie's achievement comes as he pursues his own golfing journey. Last month, he participated in the 2024 Cognizant Classic tournament at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he missed out on qualifying for the PGA Tour. Despite his dad Tiger not being present, Charlie was supported by his mom and accompanied by golfer Jacob "J.J." Kutner as his caddie.
During the tournament, Charlie faced challenges on the course, including dealing with overzealous fans and managing shaky security. Reports mentioned that more than 50 fans followed him, with one even approaching him with a pen and Tiger's book, How I Play Golf, hoping for an autograph.
Charlie and Tiger have a history of competing together, notably in the PNC Championship where they finished as runners-up in 2021.
Meanwhile, Tiger himself is gearing up for the Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia, next month. As a five-time Masters winner, Tiger is listed as an official competitor for the prestigious event.
