Trump Declares Biden’s Pardons Invalid for Using Auto Pen

Former President Donald Trump has declared that presidential pardons issued by his predecessor, Joe Biden, are “void, vacant, and of no further force or effect.” Trump claims the pardons were signed using an autopen rather than Biden’s actual signature, arguing that this invalidates them. He further alleged, without evidence, that Biden was unaware of the pardons. Additionally, Trump issued a warning to members of the House select committee that investigated the events of January 6, 2021, stating they are no longer shielded from investigation and could face legal consequences.

In a separate development, the administration announced the deportation of hundreds of individuals from the U.S. using a wartime law to expedite removals. The move targeted individuals linked to the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. This action was taken despite a court order from a federal judge temporarily blocking the administration’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. The judge also ordered any aircraft transporting deported migrants to return to the U.S.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military has conducted strikes against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The operation was launched in response to attacks on shipping routes in the Red Sea, which have threatened international trade and maritime security.
