Two vs one MMA fight gets so out of hand the referee joins in and KOs fighter
Romanian fighter Alexandru Bobicioiu was pitted against two opponents simultaneously at the RXF Gala event. However, right from the start, one of the challengers, known as Dustinel, displayed suspiciously erratic behavior, with allegations circulating that he had taken "substances" prior to the bout.
Referee Yamato Zaharia intervened, instructing Dustinel to calm down and then ordering him to exit the cage when he refused. Dustinel's persistence led Zaharia to physically intervene, initially pushing him away and subsequently delivering a knee to the midriff as Dustinel returned with uncontrolled strikes. Dazed and on the floor, Dustinel protested and was met with a slap from the exasperated referee.
Consequently, Dustinel was removed from the match, and shortly afterward, his teammate, Meci Cedi, also conceded defeat.
A video clip capturing the bizarre turn of events quickly gained traction on social media, with fans labeling it as one of the "craziest" spectacles they had witnessed. One viewer humorously inquired about the rules, asking, "What exactly are the rules here lol?" Another exclaimed, "This is the craziest thing I've ever seen. Where do I buy tickets?" A third bewildered fan commented, "What is going on Romania," while a fourth expressed uncertainty, stating, "Can't work out if this is terrible or amazing."
Some fans even speculated about the potential adoption of similar rules in the UFC. One enthusiast mused, "Would love to see McGregor taking on two small fries like this," while another urged, "Let refs get involved in UFC fights like this please."
After the fight, Bobicioiu expressed disappointment over the match's abrupt end: "I'm very disappointed because the fight wasn't finished and there will probably be a replay of this match. I have to fight them. Dustinel was disqualified, Cedy abandoned, so clearly I had to win, not to cancel the match."
Regarding Dustinel's behavior, Bobicioiu remarked, "I don't know exactly if he was drunk or consumed substances, I have no idea, I don't care, but so be it." He also mentioned Cedy's frustration at Dustinel's disqualification and subsequent abandonment of the fight, emphasizing that Cedy no longer wished to compete against him.
