Two Young Girls Shot and Wounded by Scooter-Riding Suspects in Brooklyn Park

Cops respond to the scene of the shooting on Monday night.

Two girls, ages 9 and 11, were shot and wounded in a Brooklyn park on Monday night by suspects riding scooters, according to police and sources.


The victims were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.

The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. in a park on Dean Street near Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville. The 11-year-old girl was shot in the back, while the 9-year-old was hit in the leg, sources said. Both victims were transported to a local hospital by private means and are in stable condition, according to the NYPD.


The suspects responsible for the shooting were reportedly riding scooters. No arrests have been made at this time.
