Renowned Ugandan preacher Jonathan Nalebo has left the public stunned after announcing his separation from wife Enid Mirembe, ending their seven-year marriage. In a deeply personal statement shared on April 16, 2025, Nalebo disclosed that the decision was mutual and driven by a desire for peace, healing, and emotional well-being.
The couple, once seen as a shining example of a faith-filled and resilient union, have now parted ways under surprising circumstances. In his announcement, Nalebo described Enid as an “incredible woman” whose grace and values were, in his words, “too perfect” for him to keep up with. He admitted to mishandling the "treasure" she was and failing to honor her deeply-rooted virtues.

“After more than seven years together, Enid and I have come to a place where we’ve mutually agreed to part ways—for the sake of peace, healing, and the well-being of both of us,” Nalebo stated. “In many ways, she was too perfect for me to keep up with, and I mishandled the treasure she was. I failed to fully honor the values she carried so gracefully in every area of life.”
Acknowledging his shortcomings as a husband and spiritual leader, Nalebo reflected on the spiritual warfare that can impact families. He shared that as a man of God, he is called to lead by example but admitted he had fallen short in that responsibility. He warned of the enemy’s subtle attacks on what is most precious—particularly the family unit—when one isn’t vigilant in prayer, humility, and love.
Nalebo confirmed that their children are safe, loved, and will remain in the custody of their mother. He expressed full confidence in Enid's ability to continue raising them with wisdom and strength.

“I wish Enid Mirembe nothing but the best,” he said. “She deserves a love that honors her completely. I pray she finds someone who sees her heart and cherishes her in ways I failed to.”
The pastor concluded his message with a spiritual reflection, saying he is returning to the “feet of Jesus” to seek deeper healing and realignment with his calling. He added that if love comes again in his life, he hopes to meet it as a whole and healed man, more anchored in his faith.

He ended with a verse from Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
