University of Port Harcourt Lecturer Allegedly Gropes, Harass Female Student in Viral Video
In a viral video circulating on social media, an incident allegedly showing a University of Port Harcourt lecturer sexually harassing a female student has garnered attention.
The video depicts the lecturer attempting to caress the student, who resists his advances. At one point, the lecturer is seen grabbing the student's breast as she moves away to avoid the groping.
However, in response to the video, the management of the University of Port Harcourt has dismissed it as a misrepresentation. According to Dr. Sam Kpenu, the Public Relations Officer of UNIPORT, the incident did not occur at the university, specifically in its Microbiology department.
Dr. Kpenu clarified that the video was released by Rivers State University TV (RSUTV), evident from the video's inscription. He emphasized that the University of Port Harcourt's Microbiology department is located upstairs, contrary to what is shown in the video with visible grass outside.
He reiterated that the university did not record such an incident and labeled the video as fake, released by RSUTV.
