US-Based Nigerian Businessman, Onyejekwe Izuchukwu, Found Dead in Lagos Hotel”

Onyejekwe Izuchukwu, a 62-year-old Nigerian businessman residing in the United States, was discovered dead in a hotel room in the Ikoyi district of Lagos State. Izuchukwu, who was the President of Bits and Drilling Tools, a division of Schlumberger, had checked into the hotel on June 7, 2024, and was found deceased two days later on June 9, 2024.

Izuchukwu had reportedly traveled to Nigeria for a business deal. His lifeless body was discovered by a hotel cleaner around 7pm on June 9, 2024. The incident was promptly reported to the police by the hotel’s Assistant Chief Security Officer.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed Izuchukwu’s death. He stated, “Izuchukwu was found lifeless on the floor of his hotel room. A doctor confirmed his death and his body has been transferred to a morgue in Ikeja for an autopsy. The command has initiated an investigation into the case.”
