Venomous Snake Bites Man's Penis in Brazil and Refuses to Let Go

A man in Pantanal, Brazil, experienced severe pain after a snake bit his genitals and refused to let go. Viral footage captured the man writhing on the ground in distress while a friend filmed from a safe distance.

A third individual attempted to dislodge the snake using a stick, forcing it into the reptile’s jaws to break its grip. Despite their efforts, the snake remained latched on, prompting the group to pour water on it, which also proved ineffective.

The snake was identified as a king cobra, a species not native to Brazil. Known for its potent neurotoxic venom, the king cobra's bite can cause paralysis and death within minutes. The victim was reportedly taken to a hospital for medical treatment after the snake eventually released its hold. No further updates on his condition have been provided.

This incident echoes a 2021 case in South Africa, where a Dutch tourist suffered a venomous snake bite to the genitals while using an outdoor toilet. The man endured severe tissue damage, requiring multiple surgeries, including a reconstructive procedure using a skin graft from his groin. Experts noted that his case was the first documented instance of snouted cobra envenomation of the genitals.
