Vicious pit bull grabs owner’s jugular, mauls him to death in NYC apartment

Early Friday morning, a pit bull fatally attacked its owner by grabbing him by the jugular inside a Bronx apartment building, according to authorities. The responding cops were forced to shoot and kill the aggressive dog.

Police received a 911 call around 3 a.m. reporting a dog biting its owner, a 41-year-old man, at the building located on Simpson Street near Home Street in Longwood.

Sources mentioned that the dog had clamped onto the man's jugular, causing severe bleeding.

Two officers responded to the scene and had to shoot the dog multiple times to stop the attack, as stated by the police.

Cops killed the vicious dog.

The owner, whose identity has not been disclosed pending notification of his family, was swiftly taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by the police.

The pit bull was pronounced dead at the scene following the confrontation with the officers.

Both officers were later transported to a local hospital for evaluation due to ringing in their ears caused by the gunfire.
