Victoria Goodwin, 32, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder following a failed attempt to hire a hitman to kill her husband, Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin, 48. The plea deal was reached with Clark County prosecutors one month after her arrest in connection with the murder-for-hire scheme.

Court records confirm that prosecutors have agreed to drop the more serious charge of solicitation to commit murder in exchange for her guilty plea to the conspiracy charge. The agreement could potentially reduce the sentence Victoria Goodwin might have received had the case proceeded to trial.

The investigation revealed that Victoria had been communicating with Grant Amato, 35, a Florida inmate serving a life sentence for murdering his own parents and brother. According to court documents, Victoria passed along specific information about Aaron Goodwin’s whereabouts during filming of Ghost Adventures, which Amato relayed to a third-party who was allegedly hired to carry out the killing.

One disturbing message from Victoria to Amato read, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.” In another exchange, Amato messaged the potential hitman saying, “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”

Authorities say Amato’s phone was eventually seized and searched by prison staff, uncovering the messages that detailed the plot. The evidence included communications with Victoria about a $2,500 down payment for the killing, and financial records showing she had saved $11,515 toward the murder.

Following her arrest, Aaron Goodwin filed for divorce, stating he was “blindsided and devastated” by the plot. The couple’s marital status had been strained prior to the incident, but the alleged murder plan came as a shocking betrayal.

Victoria allegedly "fell in love" with a convicted murderer, who was involved in the alleged plot to kill Aaron.

Victoria Goodwin now faces a prison sentence ranging from two to ten years, along with a possible fine of up to $5,000. Sentencing will be determined by a judge at a later date.
