Wendy Williams taken by ambulance after dropping desperate note from NYC window begging for help

Wendy Williams was transported to a hospital from her New York assisted living facility after authorities responded to a wellness check. The 60-year-old, who has been diagnosed with dementia, reportedly threw a handwritten note from her fifth-story window asking for help.
Emergency services arrived around 11:15 a.m. after the call was made. Williams was later seen at her window waving her arms while on the phone. Shortly after, she exited the facility with police officers and was assisted into an ambulance.

This incident follows news of her planned return to television. Williams was expected to make an appearance on "The View," marking her first time on daytime TV since stepping away from "The Wendy Williams Show" four years ago. It remains unclear whether the appearance would have been in person or remote.
Williams has been under court-ordered guardianship since 2022. Her guardian previously stated that she is cognitively impaired and permanently disabled due to her dementia. However, Williams has disputed these claims, stating in a recent interview that she feels trapped and is not allowed outside on her own.
Her legal battle to end the guardianship has continued, with a recent development suggesting a potential reassessment of her condition. A judge was informed that Williams might undergo a new medical evaluation to determine her current cognitive state.
