Woman wheels dead 'uncle' into bank to sign off loan – but there's a big giveaway (watch)

The woman kept using her hand to keep her dead uncle's neck upright

SHOCKING footage captured the moment a woman attempted to use her deceased uncle to fraudulently obtain a loan at a bank in Rio de Janeiro.

In the video, the woman, identified as Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, can be seen dragging her dead uncle's body into the bank, trying to get him to sign off on a four-figure loan. She is observed manipulating his head and holding a pen to his hand, pretending to engage in a conversation with him.

"Uncle, are you listening? You have to sign it. I can’t sign for you," she says, urging him to sign and stop causing her a headache.

However, her actions were met with suspicion from bank employees, with one noting the man's pale appearance and expressing doubts about the legality of the situation.

Erika continues her charade, insisting that her uncle is fine and dismissing concerns about his health. However, the bank staff, recognizing the seriousness of the situation, begins to film the incident and contacts emergency services.

Paramedics soon confirm that Paulo Roberto Braga, 68, had already passed away, and Erika's attempt at fraud unravels. She was subsequently arrested for the scam, where she had tried to secure a loan for 7,000 Brazilian Reais (£2,500), according to local media reports.

Police Chief Fabio Luiz confirmed that Mr. Braga was deceased when brought into the bank, and investigations are ongoing to determine the timeline and circumstances of the loan arrangement.
