Woman wrangles loose snake at Arizona wedding
It's a wedding that will be etched in memory, not for the bride and groom, but for an unexpected guest that slithered into the scene.
Enter Erika Rodriguez, dubbed the snake wrangler or, fittingly, Wonder Woman.
During her sister's Cinco de Mayo wedding in Florence, Arizona, a snake made an uninvited appearance on some steps. Drawing from her childhood admiration for "The Crocodile Hunter," Erika bravely confronted the situation.
Standing just over five feet tall, she faced off with the snake, which turned out to be a harmless gopher snake of similar length.
Erika's sister Sandra shared the video on social media, garnering over a million views and even a marriage proposal for Erika in the comment section.
Recalling the incident, Erika mentioned that the snake made multiple appearances in the cocktail area. With an employee mysteriously absent, Erika took it upon herself to handle the situation, releasing the snake safely and earning herself a well-deserved beer from the wedding's open bar.
Growing up as a tomboy, Erika's love for animals and adventure has always been evident. Sandra expressed that Erika's fearlessness and love for creatures are intrinsic to who she is – someone unafraid of anything, quite literally.
